Charged with the management of the units:

-        Team DUS Vegetables

-        Team DUS Ornamentals

-        Team DUS Agriculture

-        Team Farm Management

-        Team administration.

The Variety testing department of Naktuinbouw is responsible for the Dutch DUS testing of all species for Plant Breeders’ Rights and National Listing. The department is also responsible for the trials for inspection purposes, testing of denominations, the Naktuinbouw list of registered vegetable varieties within the EU, research in trial fields and handling complaints on vegetable varieties.

With Naktuinbouw Variety Tracer DNA techniques are used in cases of infringement.

The department has a staff of 60, glasshouses and trial fields.
